The post that you have been waiting for...

So..
this is what it looks like from the outside
coming nearer, the front door is open
as you come in, on the right are the shoes we own
(btw i bought a new pair shoe =))

on the left is mer's bedroom which is unfortunately unavailable for viewing

right in front is my room
on the right is my bed and stuff
left is a tallboy and the cupboard
then on from the door by the shoes you would see this
on the right is my keyboard and bookcases filled of course with books =)
on the left there's my very student-ny table
on the left of that student-ny table is the toilet
on the right is the cool shower handle and our soaps
and the sink plus a big mirror on top which is actually a tad too high

coming out from there and going through the door between the table and keyboard is the middle of the living room and kitchen

on the right, we have the living room

and the kitchen on the left plus a few of my jeans just hanging
by taking a few steps closernext to the stove is a door which reveals the laundry room
hope you enjoyed the tour! =)

p.s. by you in the title i mean ally as she has been bugging me for ages for pictures :P
p.s.s. sorry for some blurry pictures. i don't have as canggih as a camera as my mother's son

My (somewhat) New Place

The BedroomI know it looks kinda untidy but I am going to tidy everything tomorrow!
After gym..
Don't you think my bed looks cool black, white and purple?
The picture below shows my desk.
Looks very messy aye? :D
I love the purple box I got from Plastic Box shown below.
Yeah, its not plastic.
That's jas' extra table in my room. Which is great cause I can collect more rubbish. Wakakaka.
I also have a very big wadrobe space =)
I don't use the top cupboards. I do put my empty boxes there though. And my left most cupboard has Jasmine's and my big luggage in it. So I actually only use two of the cupboards. I have very few clothes not like the other girls. Trust me. =)

The BathroomIts very white and if often gets dirty quickly. That is the only thing that I don't like.
Other than that, since there are two bathrooms; one located downstairs and one upstairs and there are only two of us upstairs so its pretty good :)
my towel :)

I can't believe we have so many shampoos and soaps. Its kind of funny cause there's only the two of us.

Our shoes:
mine are on the left and hers are on the right
I still don't have as many as Jas though. I think she hides some in her room.

The Kitchen
Larder 1:
top 4 shelves are our stuff

Larder 2:
our stuff are on the top 5 shelves

Yup, we definitely won't run out of food if we were stuck in the house =)

Its weird that the kitchen is situated upstairs.
Its good as well since I don't have to run up and down. Hehe.

The Living Room
The living room is next to the kitchen. And we have SKY TV! =) Sky TV is something like Malaysia's Astro.

The cloth below is getting quite dirty.

Outside
Thats our clothes hanging in the sun :)

This is the view that I will get if I turn my head slightly to my right at the window

Finally
The End

p.s. It took me three days to put all this together.

finally!

Yup. Thank God we finally found a house. We went to have a look at this place very near the Engineering building. Its a house with 5 bedrooms. There are three other tenants (internationals students) already living there. A girl and 2 guys (and a pizza place). Jas, Mer and I went to have a look at the house yesterday.

The two rooms available are double bedrooms. They have 2 single beds in them. If we share one it will be $200 - $210 but if not one of the rooms is $160 and the other is $10 higher. Its higher because it has more sun and since Jas loves the sun she'll be taking that room. So it includes everything except for electricity which is between $10 - $20 each week. I guess it would be $40 - $80 each month which seems pretty reasonable.

There is unlimited broadbrand! Thank goodness. Otherwise we would have to rely on Uni's internet. SO all in all I think we've done good. Actually at first, I didn't want to share a bedroom with Jas as I would not have any personal space. However, since it will be cheaper I said I did not mind.

After Jas had a chat with her mum though, she changed her mind and we decided to get seperate bedrooms. Actually its not that very much expensive since its quite a big room. Normally it will be $120 - $130 for a double bedroom excluding everything except maybe furnishings. So including $30 for 10GB per month excluding SKY TV (NZ's version of Astro) and electricity will come up to the same thing.

We went to look at another place which is not that near to Uni and its $150 including everything but the bedroom is really small. Also, the internet is limited to 10GB for the whole house and they have more than 5 bedrooms in that house!

The only downside now is that I would have to pack all my stuff again.
I have this US lecturer who is on sabatical from his own varsity who recommended
to read for a first date. Because it has a
but it actually represents something else.

It reminded me of YL as she really loves this book. Maybe she will take up that lecturer's suggestion? Heh.

I need to call New Zelanad Immigration now. So till then..

p.s. We have been looking at a lot of house and we decided not get unfurnished ones as it is really very mafhan.

mafhan - troublesome
i have only one weird word. interesting.

For the parents

Yesterday afternoon, Li Jas and I took a walk to our soon-to-be house to see how long would the walk take. I would say it will take about a 20 minutes walk and a 10 minutes bike ride. Knowing me, I would probably take about half an hour to walk. =D

We also took some pictures but not many.

View of the room as you walk in:
*jas and li sesat*
wakakaka

thats the very nice big window =)
sesat lagi sekali? ish ish

i know it looks bare. but the landlady that marvin is renting from will be providing the cupboards. he will be scouting around for beds and study table.

btw, this will be my room :)
we can't see Jas' room yet because it has tenants inside it.
but she has her very own patio door..

the bathroom:

it has a heater on top of the door below:
funny right?
everything is purplish =) i quite like purple

laundry room:
he doesn't have a dryer but he said the sun shines on both side of the house so it shouldn't be a problem.

thats the big garden outside:
Li said we can main kejar kejar here
lol

Jas draw a houseplan but I think mine is nicer =) wakaka
but I'm not exactly sure whether is that correct..

i just love my blue cup =))

Dictionary:
sesat - lost
lagi sekali - again
kejar kejar - catch

I have a weird flatmate.

My flatmate told me she doesn't like bread. However, read the following conversations:

Flatmate and her mum chatting:
Mum: So, how do you like Ilam? Enjoying the freedom?
Flatmate: I love it. I don't have to eat what I do not need to eat anymore.

The flatmate and I talking:
(We had a loaf of bread in the freezer)
Me: Hey, if you don't like to eat bread, you don't have to eat it you know. I don't mind eating all.
Flatmate: Nevermind. Have to eat wat..
Me: ...

note: names have been proctected for privacy

We were both bored at some Malaysian function.
I find it quite funny.
Because it reminded me so much of Malaysia and the sun was sooo hot that day too.
We started with a bacaan doa.
Jas and I cabuted after a while.
We had to shop.

We both kind of look like ducks.
