Couches

I rate a shop based on the quality of the couches customers are allowed to sit on. Not on the quantity or quality of clothes. Well not that high I guess.

General Issue has the best couches in Riccarton Mall. It's soft and deep and just right while waiting for your love ones to shop.

SimpleFurniture also has quite a nice couch in the middle on the second floor which is not bad as well.

Yes, I am that bored. I was suppose to be coming back to a week of planning the trip for my family when they come over but my mum can't make up her mind (on whether to come or not to come) because of the influenza. Its killing me. The indecisiveness and the boredom. I tried calling her just now but no one answered :(

On Monday, I was counting the points of my courses and went out with Char and Mer later the same day. I went crazy then. Its either the boredom or the company. Haha! It was so fun to make both of them run for their life. You should ask them to tell you more about it. It was quite a fun day. Just what I needed. Two dose of friends and one dose of craziness. Maybe more.

On Tuesday, Mer had orientation the whole day so I was left to fend for myself. Oh ya I remembered what I did. I went to Orana Wildlife Park with Kayo and her friend. We spent the whole day there! It was tiring but fun. Then I joined a few CU people for Ice Age 3. Which was very predictable but still watchable.

On Wednesday, I headed out to the library to borrow a few books and also to meet up with Char and her four kids. I thought she was going to be in the library until 2 (it was ten ish when i arrived) so I asked Mer to go for lunch since she already woke up. We hanged out at the mall until she left for work at 4pm. I was suppose to go visit Jas that night but was too lazy to go home then go all the way back to Riccarton again so it was postpone. While Mer and I were there, we were talking about boyfriends paying for everything. Me thinks going dutch sometimes is good. But me flatmate's thinks no. So I hanged around LBJ and with Char after that. I finally got me self a United Video card! Wakakaka. I borrowed the LOTR trilogy, Prime, The Bucket List and something Pixar.

On Thursday, I started the day by watching The Fellowship of the Ring and paying my income tax return and signing up for online billing. I finally used my Flexi Debit Visa =)) Tapau-ed KFC with Mer for lunch and continued with The Two Towers. Took out rubbish and shower and continued with The Return of the King. Then visited Jas and Cal and did a bit of groceries shopping.

Today, I cooked lunch! Ciabatta + beef + egg + cheese + mushroom + greens. I woke up hungry cause I didn't eat dinner last night. Played keys for a while. Vacuumed a bit. Cooked for Mer. Talked to her for a bit. After she left, I tidied the whole house. Vacuumed the kitchen. Shifted boxes and random stuff to garage. Which reminds me I still have ICF's tea and coffee box which I haven't unpacked since a month ago. Yeah, that's me. Then shifted around the furniture. Now just sitting and typing all this stuff so that everybody in the world wide web will know what I did this whole week.

In three hours time, results are coming out. Whatever it is, I know God was there.

Am reading this book Worship Matters by Bob Kauflin.

"As J.I. Packer reminds us: Today, vast stress is laid on the thought that God is personal, but this truth is so stated as to leave the impression that God is a person of the same sort as we are - weak, inadequate, ineffective, a little pathetic. But this is not the God of the Bible! Our personal life is a finite thing: it is limited in every direction, in space, in time, in knowledge, in power. But God is not so limited. He is eternal, infinite, and almighty. He has us in his hands; we never have him in ours. Like us he is personal; but unlike us, he is great."

That is what God has been reminding me during the whole of holidays.

I have been struggling with the names of the HP books. I got HP and the Philosopher's Stone, HP and the Chamber of Secrets, HP and the Prisoner of Azkaban, HP and the Goblet of Fire, HP and the Half Blood Prince and HP and the Deathly Hallows. I kept going round and round my mind but I can't seem to get the fifth book. Finally, I googled and *tada* its Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

I want to watch all five again before the sixth but United Video didn't have all five :( So ya..

Sun is going down. I have to go close the curtains to keep the heat in soon. This post is super long. I hope you've enjoyed reading. I had a good time typing.

Yay I finally know how to spell vacuuming. Shame on me!

Lil Tots

2:1 - not that anybody besides me is keeping score

so awesomeness for Wai Yue and Yin to remember me =)) happynya

weather has been cold these past two days which me likey as its not too hot in my room. its easier to heat my room then to cool it down on the account of not having a fan

i've been sleeping past 1 am every night and waking up just in time to make lunch. i know its bad. but i can't sleep at 12 anymore. too much stress although mum will say rubbish

although i woke up early today and i'm kinda sleepy now which means i'll sleep early tonight

my masterpiece yesterday was the product of breaks in between studying

quite a lot of famous books that were made into films are filmed in new zealand. narnia and lord of the rings. actually only two which i know of, my dear little friend

i binded this big pile of notes. just cost 4.30 including spiral and everything else

i definitely spend less when its studying time which i think is a neutral thing instead of positive or negative

there's jamming tomorrow night which i'm really really looking forward to :)

and with that, good night peeplings. and stalkers.

    100

In year 2006 and year 2007, my total posts for each year was a 100 each. I shall aim for that this year as well. This would be my 60th post which will mean that I have 40 more to go. A challenge.

Today was a weird day. It rained for less than half an hour two times. Its suppose to be spring! Come on!

    Apartments, Flats and what-nots

I finally understand why my mum would prefer living in a house instead of an apartment or a flat. Before this, I would be "Thats just old people talk" but now I understand why living in a house is such a blissful thing compared to living in an apartment/flat no matter how flash it is.
She's starting very early to be interested in peace

My friend was just commenting on herself reading all day long and how boring she might seem to you or me. I totally disagree! Reading so much does not make u boring, like how drinking so much does not make you an alcoholic (somebody says). However, I don't mind that people think I'm boring. I am who I am and I like it. Most of the time.
I had a chance to talk to mum today. Which put me in a happy mood but sad at the end of the conversation as she goes on about my weight. I've been passing all of my assessments so far. I really do pray that I'll at least passed all of my four courses.
My brother is getting baptised on Oct 5 =)

I had a taste of mooncake yesterday =) Courtesy of Mike Wong.

Yesterday at church we celebrated our 1st year of Mosaic. The Wilson kids did rythmic gymnastics and the Filipinos sang a song and had a dance as well. They were pretty awesome as they had costumes to go with it as well.

Tom, Char, Jas and I were totally pwned by them! We could have risen back to the occassion if we had Mer but unfortunately she was sick.

We'll be going for a hen's party tomorrow. Should be awesome.

My current favourite word is awesomeness.

I'm super sleepy after groceries at 4pm today. Maybe cause I've been waking up early, ie from 9 ish, and sleeping late, ie 12 ish. I do want to sleep in but my body doesn't want to sleep. And now my eyes doesn't want to open. But I've got a 5% homework to do due tomorrow. Urgh.

    so the pinkkk

I recently just changed my duvet cover and I didn't realise it was going to be so pink!!
It was suppose to have yellow underneath. But its quite cute :D Mer said it was so girly girl which is unexpected of me. I'm not sure whether would that be considered as a compliment.

    One side:
    The other side:
On the other side of the butterflies, there's this cute girl doing stuff. Have a look..Cool right? I also don't know how I did it. But am quite proud of my work. Lol.

I don't know how to keep my table tidier. I'll destroy stuff after my exams.I finish on the 28th at 5.30pm. Stupid. Have to wait until so long. I'm the only person finishing that late I think. Already Mer and Li are done. And Jas will be done in the morning. T & C also finished the day before I finish. Ish.

    Stupid AFIS.

p.s. now my blog is going to look pinkkkkkkkk

    Friends

    Friends:
    1. A person other than a family member, spouse or lover whose company one enjoys and towards whom one feels affection.
    2. A boyfriend or girlfriend.
    3. An associate who provides assistance.
The Automobile Association is every motorist’s friend.
The police is every law abiding citizen’s friend.
    4. A person with whom one is vaguely or indirectly acquainted
      a friend of a friend
    5. A person who backs something.
I’m not a friend of cheap wine.
    6. An object or idea that can be used for good.
      Google is your friend.
    7. (colloquial, ironic, used only in the vocative) Used as a form of address when warning someone.
      You’d better watch it, friend.
I didn't know friends meant so many stuff. Interesting. Its hard to define what a friend is. Who is your friend? Who will never be your friend? Your acquaintance? Who can you confide in? Who can you not say anything to? Who can you joke with? Who must you be serious with?

    Tough. Very.

    Friends?

Apparently I backstabbed this friend of mine. I guess she wouldn't even admit that we're friends. I am quite sure that I am in no wrong but just to be sure I offered to meet somewhere to talk about it. But I guess she doesn't want to or is feeling too betrayed to meet me. Then how in the world are we going to solve this issue?

I'm feeling hungry. I need to go take a shower. Sorry to give you such a heavy and dense topic. See ya when I come back from camp. I wanted to blog about Cave Stream but I'm kinda lazy now. Hehe.

    Change?

I am so lazy! To do my clever stats assignment.

I'm thinking of changing to wordpress.com. It seems fun to be able to put password protected posts. That way my mum can't bugged me.

I got asked out on a date. Yup, a real date. I can't decide. Will update more.

in the land of expensive butter

hey all, i know i have been pretty quiet. well i just have been super duper lazy. i have lots of stuff to say but by the time i actually sit in front of a computer i would have forgotten most of the stuff that i wanted to tell you.

but i thought i would give it a try now. i guess i have kinda settled in. the only bum thing is that my landlord only told me on the day i came back that they are moving and that we need to move out as well. ish. so now jas and i are looking for places to stay. preferably a 2 bedroom flat/house. however, we're not very lucky, most of the places that we've searched has already gone. urgh! so geram.

i've finished enrolling. finally. not that it took very long. pretty much everybody came back today. jas won't be back till sunday though.

i've got nothing much to say. i actually have thought provoking inspirational stuff to say but i don't have the mood. oh well. hope this satisfies you.

    ...

Mian. I just got news that my sixth aunt's husband passed away early this morning. This means I have only one uncle 'in law'. Meaning only one of my mother's brother-in-law is in this world. Interesting.

Due to the fact that we have to change the owner's name for the internet line, it took awhile for the thing to come back. So here I am. Holidays are all right so far. I think.

I'm watching Sabrina the teenage witch on Hallmark Channel on Astro. Not that I'm promoting or anything. =)

    Ta.

this is mainly for jas since she is so bored and is just bumming around :P

An excerpt from my last email plus some other extras:

    Hello!

I know I haven't been writing :D But remember last year out of the 3+ months holiday I only wrote twice. So you should be thankful that I'm writing =) Okay la I 'perasaan'.

So I got the job. They only called me on Friday. So God sort of answered my prayer for me to attend VBS (Vacation Bible School). I say sort of because I can't remember praying about it so He does listen to your heart. How scary is that? And wonderful of course =)

I started work on Monday. I follow my boss to work as he lives quite near my place and I take the LRT back since I don't want to wait until 7pm to be able to go home. Although the train is packed like tuna at around 6pm still I reach home a bit before 7pm which me like.

The job has been quite interesting so far. I can't really talk about what I do since everything is private and confidential but the job is just getting more and more interesting and quite fun.

That wasn't all that happened to me since the last time I emailed. There was VBS where I helped my mum and the other ladies in the kitchen side. So Tiring! And the spaces are so small. Mian. I was actually suppose to help lead the Standard 5 & 6 but because I thought they would call me on Tuesday (thats what they said) so I said I couldn't help but see see they only called me on Friday.

Oh well. It was quite fun though. On Saturday, we went to FRIM park. I meant the VBS children, helpers and parents. So the hot. But fun.

Therefore, after all that I fell sick on Monday. I woke up with a sore throat. Had a cold on the day itself. Started coughing on Thursday. Still coughing and having a bit of cold left. I got free medicine though from my work place's clinic. But sadly no MC.

Other than that my relatives from Johor arrived here on Tuesday night. Since nowadays I sleep at 9-10pm, I did not go out supper with them :( They only arrived at 11.30pm you see. I went out with Shiraz and Wei Zheng on Wednesday. Mamak-ed at Murni's. Good food and company :)

On Monday, i went out with Sam and Sue Zan. So long haven't seen them :D We ate the spicy fish from the food court. Yummy!

I am realising that I'm telling you all this things in anti-chronological order. If there is such a 'word'.

I think that is all. For now, I will be busy on weekdays but i still can go out in (or on) the weekends :)

p.s. I got my phone repaired. Still got warranty mah. So now it feels like brand new since they gave me a new motherboard. (i'm not sure how to spell that)

p.s.s. now my laptop is spoiled. have to buy new hard disk. i will use my hard earn money for it. planning to get 160GB. wakakkakaka.

Work now is quite boring since I have nothing to do. The project that I was supposed to be working on got postponed so I'm basically asking for jobs to do everyday now. Which is why I am considering quiting. Haih.

My laptop is repaired by my bro before he goes for his camp.

Since now Jas is busy I think the title is not appropriate but i'm just too lazy to erase it and think of a new one :P

Okay la I think its very long for now. Will try to upload pictures the next time. But too lazy also.

p.s. I bought (my dad bought) 5 new story books!!

    Monday, November 19, 2007

I know I should have blogged earlier. But I was very lazy. And no mood. Now I'm in front of the TV (watching HSM2: I know cheesy) and the laptop is in front of me.

Yes! I'm going out with Sue Zan and Sam tomorrow :) woohoo. Its going to be fun.

I've realise that after 9 months of not driving I'm quite rusty. But I'm getting better. So hopefully tomorrow everything will be all right.
My niece is getting bigger. Ohhhhh btw big newss!! well, sort offff.. she knows how to sing Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston!! Althought its only the one word suicidal but I'm aiming to teach her the whole song by the time I go back. Muahahahha. What a horrible song to teach to a 3 years old girl.
Mer, Irene and I went kayaking at the Avon river the day before I left NZ. Very fun experience :) Well at least you know I was kayaking with Jas and the gang. Sort of.

Btw, I went for the interview d. They will let me know on Tuesday.

    the one about me

I just went through my blog page and read the 'about me' page. There were a few minor grammar mistakes that I've corrected. I also thought I would write another post about myself. Although that is not technically true since my blog is about me.

The trick with getting people to read your blog is to put pictures every one or two paragraphs. Interesting pictures of course. To make them interested in reading more. The paragraphs can't be too long as well. If you've managed to write a whole post without any pictures and people actually reads them, then congratulations.

I'm not really sure why I have a blog. My friend introduced or asked me to join I think. Can't really remember. It was in mid 2005. But I thought it was a good way to express without having to bother getting a book and a pen and the strength to write in it.

I think in my first six months the only people who read my blog was that friend of mine. I wasn't really obsessed about it. Then slowly people know about it. I told my friends back in M when I was going to NZ to read my blog to keep track of me. That was when my blog became more 'read'. However, that idea wasn't really popular as a number of my friends are non-techno-savvy kind of people. I didn't mind showing them my blog then since I was just going to blog about people in NZ.

In 2006, as I was quite by myself I wrote in my blog almost everyday. For 2007 maybe because I'm not so by myself anymore I don't write as much here. Or maybe I'm aware of who reads this. It is hard to talk about friends freely here when they themselves might just come across it.

This is why I think blogging is complicated. Sometimes its hard to come out with the words. To make it sound like how its suppose to sound.

I'm not complicating your mind with any pictures as the other two 'about me' pages has more than enough pictures.

Its almost the end of the year for me. With only less than 3 weeks more to go home, my year is pretty much gone. I've definitely learnt some things this year. Like how to make friends. Continue staying friends. How to appreciate people for who they are. Growing spiritually. Cooking. Why the sky is blue. Among many other things. I've also learnt that I snore when I sleep.

2007 has been a wonderful year but I'm looking forward to going home. And eating of course!

p.s. I hope what I just written made sense. If not just ask me.

p.s.s. If you want to receive my monthly emails (which I try to make it different from what I write here), feel free to flick me an email at dec9teen@gmail.com.
